The School of Economic Sciences is reputable across the country, with contributions to Econometrica, International Economic Review, Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, International Journal of Industrial Organization, American Journal of Agricultural Economics, and Journal of Econometrics.

Historically, we have been strong in applied economics, econometrics, and environmental economics; being ranked 16th among agricultural economics departments (see these two rankings of departments 1, 2); and 43rd in the field of Agricultural Economics among all Economics departments in the world (see ranking).
