Gordon Estates Winery

Gordon Estate is located in the heart of the Columbia Valley in Washington State. We take great pride in being the oldest estate winery in Washington State by using only estate-grown grapes in making our superb, hand-crafted Washington wines.

In 1980, Jeff Gordon, along with his wife, Vicki and brother Bill decided to plant wine grapes on a sagebrush-covered slope overlooking the Snake River in southeastern Washington’s Columbia Valley. In 1985, he released his first small lot of Chardonnay wine produced from their estate vines and today the Gordon Brothers brand is growing in both production and acclaim.

Coyote Canyon Winery & Vineyard Tour with Tasting, Dinner & Lodging – A Must for Any Wine Lover

Owners Mike and Marti Andrews invite you to explore their boutique wines, produced with estate grapes from their impressive family vineyard in the Horse Heaven Hills AVA. Two couples will experience Andrews’ family hospitality while experiencing an insider’s view and wine pleasure from one of Washington’s award winning small wineries. The grandeur comes from skill and dedication to growing high quality grapes and carefully managing every step from the vine to the glass. The awards earned by Coyote Canyon speak for themselves. They include 2 class champions at the 2012 Houston Livestock wine and Rodeo competition with the 2009 Robert Andrews Mourvedre and 2010 Albarino, and a double platinum with the 2011 Tres Cruces in the winter edition of the Winepress Northwest. The Coyote Canyon wines always judge well in competitions.

In addition to spending time in the vineyard with Mike, you will have a private tasting at the winery followed by a winemaker’s dinner in Prosser at the Horse Heaven Saloon. Of course the meal will be artfully paired with Coyote Canyon wines. You will also enjoy a night’s lodging at Marti’s hide-away home on the Yakima River.

This wine package is sure to delight your senses, sharpen your wine knowledge and build lasting memories of good times in the company of new friends. The winery is located in Vintner’s Village in Prosser, a town that finds itself at the center of the Washington wine industry in the lower Yakima Valley. Plan on one and a half days for all of the activities. The dates will be mutually agreed between November 1, 2016 and May 31, 2017. To learn more about Coyote Canyon, visit

Wine by Cougars and the Washington State University Alumni Association are pleased to offer this limited edition wine from proud Cougars at Gordon Estate. This is the first wine in a collector’s series that will celebrate Cougar wineries and support the WSUAA’s initiatives, including viticulture and enology scholarships.

This particular bottle of wine was originally auctioned off in 2015 but was graciously donated back to SES for this event.

Built in 1933, this building was known for decades as the Livestock Judging Pavilion. Designed by university architect Stanley Smith, who also designed White Hall (now home of WSU’s Honors College), and Smith Gym. The pavilion was part of a complex of agriculture buildings east of Troy Hall, which included a poultry barn and a large beef barn. The beef barn was transformed into the Lewis Alumni Centre in the 80s but the Pavilion was scheduled to be demolished. However, thanks to the efforts of animal science professor Everett Martin, a committee of CAHNRS Alumni, faculty, administrators and students began a “Save the Old Pavilion” or “STOP” Campaign that created an endowment for its remodeling and maintenance. As part of the STOP Campaign Professor Robert Krikac, now an Associate Professor of Interior Design here at WSU, was commissioned to paint a water color of the newly restored Pavilion. A limited amount of the prints numbering 40 in total where numbered, signed by the artist, matted and sold for $125.00 each.

Of the 40 original prints of Mr. Krikac’s water color we still have 3 in our possession. This year we are giving Alumni and friend’s a chance to get a piece of WSU history by auctioning off print number #25.

This Cougar Fight Song poster has been nicely matted and framed and is ready to accent your home and office.
